Take me out to the Twins game...

So, for one, I'm not in Vegas. Plans changed, people couldn't go, and it ended up just not working real well for me. And I'm fine with that.

So, that means I'm at home. And it's probably for the best. I think I was on the verge of being sick at the end of last week. Which means now I am sick. It's not like debilitiating sickness, it's more just the kind of thing that makes you vaguely uncomfortable most of the time. I'm still doing everything I normally would (aside from perhaps rollerblading, but the rain/snow would've stopped that anyway), I'm just doing more. Like coughing up everything short of my lungs. So far it hasn't been too bad, but I just keep waiting for it to suddenly get worse.

It's worked out ok though, since all I really planned on doing was spending the week relaxing anyway. As of yet I really haven't done much.

I went to the Twins game last night. That's one of the things I know I'm going to miss while I'm in Madison all summer. It was a good game though. A good way to start the season. I saw that the Twins are playing in Milwaukee over a weekend at the end of May, so I think I'll probably make the short trip out there to see at least one of the games, if not more.

On another Twins related note, The Hold Steady have released a Twins-centric version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". It got played during the game last night. It's kinda cool. I imagine some of you don't appreciate that as much as I do, but that's ok. I enjoyed it.

I'll probably just be sitting around all week. I'm hoping to be a little healthier by the weekend so that we might be able to partake in some shenanigans, but we'll see how that goes.

  • Hopefully you feel better by Fridayish. I'm free. Fun doings should be done that night.

Also, a few CSz buddies of mine are doing an improv show on Thursday night (after the CSz show). It's about zombies and it's $3. I'm going. Might get a group together to come along with me. So get well soon.
