I should've done this years ago
I think I'm gonna drop a class, and at the moment the main motivation is not having to do homework for tomorrow.
In the long term, the motivation is that it's one of the most poorly taught classes I've ever taken and it's probably irrelevant to everything I'm going to be doing here. But in the short term the reason is definitely that I just don't want to do the work.
Honestly it is in the top 5 worst classes I've ever taken. And honestly, I would've dropped long ago if I didn't keep thinking "You know, I can probably pass it and get credit for it." But now, I think I've finally come to realize that it's just not worth it.
I think I feel guilty about it or something, but I'm pretty sure that's unreasonable.
Anybody wanna tell me I'm not crazy to do this?

I did that probably every semester. In fact, I would sign up for one class more than I could handle so I could drop the worst one.
The first time I did it was 2 weeks into the school year. I didn't do the reading. For some dumb reason, it was only because I didn't get the book in time. And this freaked me out to no end. So I walked to the class, sat down, tried to scan the assignment, got up about 15 minutes later, and left. I was fraught with guilt and relief, simultaneously.
My last semester of school, I did the ol' take too many credits trick, but didn't end up going to one class at all. I mean, I went to the building, and walked past the room a couple times, but it was a creative writing class, and there were about 25 freshmen in the class sitting in a circle. I was never big on 25 freshmen sitting in a circle. So I passed the door to the class for the third time and walked out of the building. Simultaneous relief and guilt.
