No man, really, I only have one first name

It's a good thing Thanksgiving is over...

...because I don't think there's anything to be thankful for here.

It's not unlike the MPR site that's been going around that lets you vote on challenged ballots. This one, however, makes it abundantly clear how ridiculous most of the challenges are.

Like the following:

Coleman challenged it, citing "voter intent, not undervote". Because clearly not voting is the same as a vote for Coleman.

That said, I've looked at maybe 50 or so ballots, and the absurdity seems pretty evenly balanced. There are plenty of terrible challenges coming from both sides.

I imagine sorting through the challenges won't take long. If the ones I've seen are any indication, 90% or so can be resolved with just a little logical thought. The other 10% may take a little more thinking, but most of them simply aren't that complicated.

And just as frustratingly, it's just another reminder of how dumb some people are. Filling in a bubble isn't that complicated. Maybe we just think that way because standardized tests have taught us how to do it since we were 6 or so, but it amazes me how many people can screw up something so basic.

People are retarded.

  • I looked through a few of these this evening, and didn't find a one that was the least bit controversial. The voter intent seemed pretty clear on all the ones I've seen.

  • I'm now up to four clear undervotes (i.e. unmarked ballots) being challenged by Coleman. I think that one frustrates me more than anything else. I mean, they're almost all ridiculous, but those just seem exceptionally douchebaggy.
